Dilip Pal, a leading finance professional currently serving as the Chief Finance Officer of Safaricom Plc emerges as the InstinctBusiness CFO of the week. Dilip has more than 29 years of experience in Finance, spanning various industries including Telecoms, Financial Services and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Engineering in international and multi-cultural environments
Previously, he was the CFO with DTAC Thailand, a part of the Telenor Group, since 2017. Prior to DTAC he was the CFO of Grameenphone Bangladesh, a role that he held for three years. Before Grameenphone, Dilip held various finance roles in Vodafone India in Mumbai, rising to the role of EVP Finance. He has also held senior finance roles in other organizations, namely Hutchinson Essar, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages and Tata Tinplate.
Dilip has held Board positions in various institutions including Carousell, Singapore (leading online classified company of South Asia), Tele Assets, Thailand (DTAC subsidiary), Accenture Bangladesh (joint venture of Accenture and Telenor) Indus Tower (JV with Bharti Airtel and Idea) and Vodafone Essar Spacetel Ltd (Vodafone India subsidiary).
Dilip has a Master’s in Commerce from Calcutta University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Goennka College of Commerce. He is a Chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Cost Accountant from the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.

Eleanor Adaralegbe, CFO, Seplat emerge as InstinctBusiness CFO’s CFO of the Week
Mrs. Eleanor Adaralegbe, a strategic finance director with key oversights for financial reporting currently serving as the Chief Finance Officer for Seplat emerges InstinctBusiness CFO of the week.
Eleanor joined Seplat in February 2015 and brings three decades of diverse experience in both the oil and gas and professional services industries and has held impactful roles in Ernst & Young, ConocoPhillips, Ocean Energy (a subsidiary of Devon Energy), and Addax Petroleum. Until her appointment as CFO Designate in July 2023, Eleanor served as the VP of Finance at Seplat Energy PLC. Eleanor has held various leadership positions in Seplat Energy, including oversight roles over the Finance, Tax, and Supply Chain Management functions, and serves as chairperson on contracts tender board and a Director on the Board of Elcrest. She has consistently demonstrated exceptional skills in managing key stakeholders within Nigeria’s energy sector and fostering strong relationships with the global investor community.
Eleanor is a Chartered Accountant, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. She holds a Mathematics Degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an MSc in Global Finance from City University of London (Now Bayes Business School, London). She is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School.

Dr. Mukhtar Adam, CFO, Zenith Bank Plc emerge as InstinctBusiness CFO’s CFO of the Week
Dr. Mukhtar Adam, a distinguished finance professional with over two decades of cognate experience currently serving his role as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Zenith Bank Plc has been recognized as InstinctBusiness CFO of the week.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Mukhtar Adam served as the bank’s Deputy CFO, leading the Financial Reporting, Tax Management and Strategic Planning Groups and supervising the Zenith Group’s entire financial reporting function. Before joining Zenith Bank in 2007, he honed his skills as a Senior Consultant in the Financial Services Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
His vast expertise spans numerous financial areas, from financial sector management and policy analysis to financial reporting and analysis. He is also accomplished in capacity building and training. Dr. Mukhtar Adam is a prolific researcher with several professional and academic publications.
